Week Three Heralds Major Progress

Work continued under fair skies for the third week of building. Great turnouts mid-week and Saturday permitted major progress. At the end of the day Saturday, the roof had been decked and tar paper installed, windows and two exterior doors are in place, and myriad interior tasks (blocking for cabinets, dry wall, and other fixtures) were completed. It is expected that sub-contractors (electric, plumbing, HVAC) will be on site the week of September 27 so that roof shingling and exterior insulation (blue board) will be next major volunteer activities.
