Another Wonderful Work Day in Week Four

View of the south wall before work starts on October 3.

Volunteers working away to install “Blue Board” insulation on the south and north walls.

Finishing up the OSB on the east wall.

Start of roof shingling activities.

Outside work almost complete at the end of the day.

At the end of the day, House Captain Bob Rieden said we have now worked on the house 8 days and it looks like we are one day away from finishing up almost all of the work on the outside of the house. The work next Saturday will be to finish shingling the roof, finish the little bit of blue board installation along with gable vent installation, finish the trim out of the front porch and do a great deal of touch up painting, and the final painting of the exterior door frames. There are also a few other jobs that need to be completed. It should be somewhat of a light work day, but all these chores do need to be completed. The following week (October 17) we will move to the inside of the house and start the dry wall installation, which will be a major job and probably take two or more work days.
