Build Week Eight About Finishing Details

After the interior doors were hung, the panels were removed and set up to be spray painted. First task Saturday was to reinstall all those doors.

Once the doors had been cleared from the living room/dining room area it was time to get busy installing the window sills, base board and shelving.

There are still details to attend to such as added caulking around penetrations to ensure the house is snug.

Home owners Sandra and Roberta start those final things like cleaning windows.

After the subcontractors finish final installation of electrical outlets, the furnace and A/C, cabinets and plumbing, volunteers will do final touch ups of paint, finish the base boards, and clean the house. In the meantime, other volunteers will do landscaping around the house. Dedication is scheduled for Saturday, November 21.
