Cotton Candy, turkey legs, crazy heart-stopping rides, arts and crafts, animals of all shapes and sizes, the rodeo and live music – the crazy, fun-filled and exciting days of the 2023 NM State Fair are back, and we need volunteers.

Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity will host a large booth the entire eleven days of this year’s fair, from 10:00am to 8:00pm daily. And we are looking for volunteers to help us run the booth every day. Located near the main entrance off Central Ave, the H4H Expo will include games, educational information, interactive activities, prizes, and giveaways.

All volunteers will receive free parking and a meal voucher for their lunch or dinner, depending upon what shift they are working. With a staff of only 25 people to cover our daily operations and our Restore, we depend on the support and kindness of our volunteers. In this case, we will need 8-10 volunteers for two shifts each day. We will always have a staff point of contact for each shift and a few other staff present to work at the fair, but we cannot do this without additional volunteers. We will have drinks and snacks available for all volunteers as well as a private area to sit, relax and cool off away from the crowds. Our volunteers are our lifeblood, and we could never accomplish all we do without you.

Please consider helping us by contacting Regina Red, Volunteer Coordinator at Regina@HabitatABQ.org for more information or to schedule your shift (s).

If you know of anyone who would be interested in helping, please refer them to Regina. Volunteers must be 16 years of age.
