This holiday, as we’re all counting our blessings, we invite you to be a blessing for families in need.

During the pandemic, the number of families struggling to overcome poverty and obtain affordable housing has grown significantly.

In March 2019 , just when construction of Nadine’s home was almost done, Coronavirus hit and the hair salon Nadine managed shut down – she lost her job, and no longer qualified to buy her Habitat home. Her dream of owning a home and building a better future for her family quickly turned into a nightmare

You can make an impactful investment in Nadine’s future, and the future of hundreds of low-income families. With your investment, they will leave public assistance behind, become financially secure and help their children escape poverty.

In April 2019, Habitat creatively developed a temporary solution so Nadine and her kids could move into the home. With a rental agreement in place, Nadine, and the family began settling in. Nadine was pleased to get off of housing assistance, but renting was not what she had worked so hard for. It didn’t really feel like it was her home, until October, when, after securing a new job, Nadine was able to sign the mortgage and closing documents and become a homeowner.

Your support will continue to serve Nadine’s family, and so many more low-income families from the moment they apply until their last mortgage payment is made. When you donate before January 10th, one hundred percent of your donation will bring affordable homeownership to low-income families.

Please make a gift today and stand with 100+ low-income families living in Albuquerque in a home constructed by Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat will receive $5,000 from an anonymous donor if we raise $100,000 by January 5th.
Thank you for helping us reach our goal today!
