Women across the globe raise a hammer for affordable housing
Habitat for Humanity International, Lowe’s and thousands of women volunteers united in more than 235 communities throughout the United States, India and Canada for International Women Build Week (March 1-8) to raise awareness of housing issues facing women and their families.
Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity was selected to participate in this global event and will receive a $5,000 grant from Lowe’s to help build a home for a low-income family here in Albuquerque.

We are grateful to the amazing team of women volunteers from Lowe’s who joined us at the job site during International Women Build Week to help add the finishing touches on a home for a single mother. Habitat’s mission is only possible with your support.
Before they began volunteering, Crystal, an Assistant Store Manager with Lowe’s, said, “We are very excited to work with Habitat families. We really appreciate being here and we are ready to raise a hammer and start building.”
