Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing.

Ground Breakings Scheduled
GAHH will begin building homes on Townsend SW in March with two ground breakings scheduled.
•March 6 - Ground breaking for the Radke Foundation House. This will be the second Albuquerque home sponsored by the Radke’s in memory of their daughter Patricia.
•March 27 - Ground breaking for the Larry House. This home is being built in memory of Larry Lane a long time GAHH volunteer and member of the SWAT team.
GAHH Hires New Staff
GAHH is pleased to announce the hiring of new staff members. Please help us in welcoming:
John L. (JB) Brown
JB (as he prefers to be called) joins the staff as our Construction Manager. JB has been a GAHH volunteer for a number of years and brings over 40 years experience in both commercial and residential construction to his position. JB is known throughout the Albuquerque construction industry and is well versed in the codes and regulations that govern our home building. JB is a graduate in civil engineering from both the New Mexico State University and the University of New Mexico.
Carlos Carrasco
Carlos joins GAHH as our Development Manager. Carlos brings a variety of experience to his position with over 10 years in reporting, customer service, business development, and marketing. He enjoys working with people to find solutions to problems and learning new skills. Carlos especially likes to work for good causes. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso in Mass Communications and is doing graduate work at the University of New Mexico.
Mellissa Blodgett
Mellissa originally came to GAHH as a volunteer from Teamworks program and, subsequently, an intern through Help New Mexico. She joined the staff as a full time File Clerk on January 24. Mellissa says she is proud to be a part of this great program and looks forward to being a part of making the dreams of our families come true by helping them become homeowners.
Johnny Dean
Johnny joins the ReStore staff as a Warehouse Assistant after spending a number of months as a volunteer. Johnny is currently attending school to get his GED and then would like to go on and learn the metal trades. Having been a volunteer Johnny is excited to join the ReStore family.
We are especially delighted that both Carlos and Mellissa bring bilingual language skills to our staff.
